LAUREN, EDITOR IN CHIEF​

Starting as a show, the Nerdy Neighborhood was originally founded as Your Friendly NBHD Comic Show in 2022 by Your Friendly NBHD Bi, Lauren. 

 

Determined to find ways to build community and love in the nerdy world, Lauren initially focused more on comics, particularly indie comics! Working to build the nerdy comic community, Lauren brought creators and comic book fans closer than ever.

Lauren had the pleasure of interviewing comic creators, comic podcasters, and comic fans alike! Some more well-known people she interviewed include Ram V, Rodney Barnes, Stephanie Williams, David Booher, Tres Dean, Sean Lewis, Stephanie Phillips, and Markisan Naso.

 

In 2023, Lauren added Chase as her co-host to the channel. One of the best nerds out there with a huge focus on the indies and creators!

Lauren also used to write for sites like The GWW, The Comic Book Yeti, and The Wednesday Pull List.  One of her favorite articles she ever wrote, regarding the cancellations of The CW shows Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman, received high praise from many, including people who had zero investment in the shows before reading the article.

While the channel has been on hiatus for some time, and she hasn't been able to write as often, Lauren has still been aching to maintain community, and that ache for community has only grown.

 

Now, she wants to talk about EVERYTHING nerdy! Comics, Games, Movies, TV, Sports/Wrestling- you name it, she's got something to say!

Now, it's The Friendly Nerdy Neighborhood!!

The nerdy neighborhood isn't just for her though... It's all about YOU, nerdy neighbors! She hopes this site and the nerdy neighborhood will continue to grow with more voices and input over time.

Lauren is currently most active in the Nerdy Neighborhood Discord and looking for others that want to have a safe, fun place to share their passion of nerdiness!
